LILYDALE

So what's in an average hotdog?
Let's just say it starts with an unidentified animal species and goes downhill from there.

Ok, I confess. I've always been a bit of a street meat junkie. I think nothing of downing a couple o' footlongs loaded with nitrates, floor scraps and questionable animal by-products as long as I can smother them in hot peppers and sauerkraut. I feel the indigestion that inevitably follows is the price one pays for the creative, if not hallucinogenic, inspiration they ultimately provide.

So it was a novel experience to be sitting around a mini gas BBQ while the client grilled up some new Tailgate products for us to try. I had to admit, they were delicious on their own. No condiments required. Made with only 100% lean turkey, they were much healthier than the tubesteaks I was used to, and much better tasting. Plus no embarrassing meat sweats afterwards.

Since the purpose of the commercial was to inspire people to make healthier food choices when it came to barbequing, I simply contrasted the personalities of the barbeque's cooking them as a way to illustrate the lifestyle benefits of eating leaner. A shiny, rollerblading example of vibrant health, and the poor battered slob that was her neighbour.
